Developing An “Ant” Attitude To Succeed In Life

ants Developing An Ant Attitude To Succeed In LifeThe following are the characteristics of tiny little creatures called Ants. Ants are an amazing species that can teach you a few things for you to succeed in life. King Solomon who wrote the book of Proverbs said the following statement about Ants…..“Go to the ant, you sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise; Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provides her meat in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.”

What a powerful statement! The ants are noted by one of the wisest man who ever lived on earth as wise. And in their being wise, they no longer need any ruler, or leader for them to enjoy a sophisticated way of life. I am sure we humans can model their lives, don’t you think? We can end wars, greediness, jealousies, etc if we have an attitude like the one the ants have.

1. Ants Are Tenacious

Ants never give up, they don’t quit! I remember as kids we were playing at a farm and saw ants going about their business and decided to interrupt them by blocking their path; but I have noticed one thing, they don’t complain, they always quickly look for another way and carry on with their journey. They don’t have time to say “Why Me?, Why Is This Happening To Us?” No, they don’t have time to be depressed. They keep on moving and pushing forward to go out there and complete their daily tasks.  If you bury them in a pit or cover them with dirt, they will find a way to dig themselves out and move on.

What a great example. This is exactly the attitude you need in your life. Don’t let other people’s activities towards you ruin your life. If they bury you alive, find a way to dig yourself out of that pit. Don’t stay down. If they place stumbling stones in your way, climb on top of them or go around them. Think like ants always. They are thinking about winter and how they should gather their food on time. They are not worried about sudden attacks, those things are part of life and they know that. What a neat philosophy, to never quit looking for a way to get where you’re supposed to go.

2. Ants Plans For The Future

During summer time, ants don’t have time to watch TV all day, Play Video Games all day or sitting down doing nothing. They think of winter during summer time. Many people fail in life because they don’t plan in advance. Ants know summer will never last forever and that winter will come one day. Many people complain about their relationships, their financial disposition, etc They blame the government, the local council for the things that are happening in their lives. These people are the same people who don’t take action when they have a chance to do so. They don’t invest time with their loved ones and still expect things to be fabulous. They don’t look for different multiple streams of income to make money, so that when one stream run dry, there will be other streams to drink from. They don’t write goals down for the future, they woke up each morning without a clue of what they are supposed to accomplish that particular day and when things go wrong, they wonder why? When winter comes, ants are calm and peaceful for they know they’re prepared for it.

Whatever you want to achieve in your life, you can accomplish it. Accept there will be obstacles, but you will find a way to achieve your  purpose. Make sure you create a plan for everything you want to achieve from now onwards.

Like ants be committed to Never give up, Stay focused on your objectives, have a positive mindset and do all you can to do as much as you can.
