Fear is quite clever you know! It comes in so many ways, and it does a good job to hide behind so many faces and actions. Procrastination, excuses, too much talking, blaming someone, etc are all forms of fear to get started on your agendas. If there is something you want to do, and you’re so clear about what you want to achieve, there is no point of waiting, or keep on pondering until you feel you are perfect enough to get the job done. In fact, don’t wait until conditions get better, because they won’t. The only way to get going, is to get started.

You need to fight all excuses, distractions, TV, Internet, general chats, etc to get started on your dreams. You are the only person who can open the door to your success, no one can do it for you. Time will not respect you and wait for you. The only thing you can do is to Get On With It. Fear will leave you once you get started. Even if you make an error, at least you had courage to get started.

Keep on taking action until you succeed. Don’t wait any longer, Get On With It!

Many people find themselves frustrated at the end of each day, week, month, year and decade. They gather stock and discover; they haven’t done anything. They’ve been busy doing something; but there is no real result to show for it. The question in their mind will be; where did the time go? I can surely answer that, the time has gone to the land of ‘no return’.

Time will never wait for no one. Time doesn’t care who you are. Everyone has to respect the time and make sure they use it wisely. All mankind, rich or poor, successful or unsuccessful, wise or foolish; share the exact amount of time!

Everyone can be busy, but been busy alone don’t mean you are being productive! Don’t get caught up in the world of planning for a long time, calculating, hesitating, fearing and never taking ACTION. Everything depends upon EXECUTION; having just a vision is no solution.

You are responsible for your life and no one else. Again I say, use your time wisely. Be careful of so many distractions that can stand in your way to achieve real results. Never allow anything to stand in your way to achieve something great in your life, not even fear or temporary pleasures!

Your Own Resolution To Succeed Is More Important Than Any Other One Thing! – Abraham Lincoln

Success is a journey you have to embark on. Your road to success is like any other road, there will be bumps, sharp bends, potholes and so on. However, if your mission or goal is to succeed in your chosen endeavor, then you must be ready for them and adjust accordingly. Never allow them to intimidate you, or deviate you from your path to success. You need to be persistent and never give in to negativity, criticism or persecution.

You are responsible for your success. It doesn’t matter what people might have said about you, that’s old news! It doesn’t matter how many times you have failed in so many things, that again is old news! If you study your road to success properly (the knowledge & skills you need to succeed), and are willing to pass through the detours (critics, negative thoughts, procrastination, laziness, distractions, etc) then no matter what, you will reach the finishing line.

Even though events and other people might stand in your way, you still have the power to overcome all the odds to become a success. It is your own willingness, desire, knowledge, skills and persistence that will see you through to success. If Abraham Lincoln did it, You too can do it. There are so many people who succeeded in life because they desired to succeed.

We don’t hear much about Abraham Lincoln’s defeats because his victories were so notable. But for the most part of his life, the odds were against him.

When he was nine, his mother died.
In 1832 he lost an election to an Illinois State legislature.
In 1849 he was rejected as Commissioner of the General Land Office
In 1855 he lost Senate race
In 1856 he was unsuccessful in his bid for the vice presidency
In 1858 he lost Senate race again

However, his most painful losses were the deaths of his 4 year old and 12 year old sons. He was born in the backwoods of Kentucky  with a few months of schooling without any text books. Students back then had to repeat and understand the words of their teachers! He read the classics, taught himself mathematics, worked on his writing and speaking skills. His philosophy was, I will study and prepare, and when the time comes, I will be ready!

He told a friend, “Bear in mind, Jimmy that, your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing”

Yes, Bad things happened to Abraham Lincoln, but let me inform you why bad things often happen to good people:

Bad things happen to good people because it is a necessary part of making a good person great!

Failure isn’t permanent unless you quit. Failing is only a detour not a dead-end. Failure is never final – unless you choose to give up! Don’t give up, keep going.

I want to challenge you today, to prepare yourself, get the knowledge you need, learn from whomever you need to learn from, and get moving to success. Let nothing stop you! Your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing!

• Set Clear Goals

“Without the vision of a goal, a man cannot manage his own life, much less the lives of others.” – Genghis Khan

You need to know what you really want to achieve in your life. Clear goals will keep you focused on what you really want to achieve. Warren Buffett – the 2nd richest man in the world and the most successful investor – said his companies ability to generate such large profits is the result of being able to set clear goals by focusing on what is really important, and not paying attention to things that would distract his company.

• Positive Thinking

Think positively all the times. Undo negative conditioning, work on building positive beliefs and use your imagination to help you create the life you truly desire. Even if negativity grabs your attention, refocus on the positive. Do not let self-limitations hold you down. It’s not easy but your magnificent mind is so powerful that it can help you (with little training) focus on your desires and not your fears.

• Stay Fit
  

Eat Well… the Best Diet you can afford will help. Without proper nutrition, it is difficult to get your positive energies moving in the right direction. Exercise regularly to stay fit. Regular exercises clears your mind, grounds out negativity, and improves your health. Drink quite often, eat fruits, this helps you to stay fit and up to the task at hand. You can only enjoy your work if you are in good health.

• Upgrade Your Value

To remain efficient in your endeavors, you need to upgrade your value. Your value is your worth. You can only build more value by acquiring more knowledge, qualities and new skills. Get a mentor if you don’t have one and keep learning daily. Get hold of any learning materials to acquire more knowledge.This helps you to become more creative and efficient at all times. Never stop learning.

• Evaluate The Status Quo

Take a stock of your current situation. Is there anything that is holding you back to reach your goal? It could be anything from friends, family, TV, sports, Internet, lack of qualification, etc You can arrange special times with family and friends to spend time with them. You can limit the times you watch TV. You might need to enrol at a college/university or online to obtain whatever qualification you need to reach your dream. List down everything that is holding you back and take the necessary action to make sure it doesn’t stand between you and your dream.

• Take Action

If you think about it and believe it you must also act on it! There is no point in thinking and wishing something and you don’t take action. Without action, your intentions will not manifest to reality. Take the right action, and lots of it. Don’t be lazy, get to work!

• Persist

Sometimes it can be hard to keep going towards attaining your goal. You will need persistence on the road to success. Do not allow anything/anyone to stand in your way. If you make a mistake, rise up, seek a solution and keep going. If the going gets tough, keep going. You will get there. If Abraham Lincoln was alive. He would have told you about the power of persistence. He failed in so many ways, lost his loved ones, was humiliated in elections, but he never gave up. He persevered until he became the President of The United States – A great one by the way. In fact he told someone that, “Your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing!” Put on the garment of persistence and keep going!

In Order To Succeed, Your Desire For Success Should Be Greater Than Your Fear of Failure! B. Cosby

When 47-year-old small town spinster Susan Boyle stepped on to the stage of Britain’s Got Talent and announced she was unemployed, had never been married, lives alone with a ten year old cat in a council home and declared publicly that she was going to be famous, everybody laughed!

She wasn’t dressed like a star, people just perceived she was one of those people who come with a BIG ego to the stage, professing to be good at something and when it comes to delivering, you find out they’re simply time wasters who talks big and delivers nothing.

Miss Boyle has taught the world a great lesson last week! DO NOT JUDGE! Do not judge anyone based on their outward appearance. People were ready to laugh at her and complain why she is wasting ‘air time’ on stage. But then Susan opened her mouth and sang I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables, and the world fell in love with her instantly.

The audience rose within seconds to applaud her incredible voice as the celebrity judges starred in amazement. It was an amazing moment and people realized they were in the presence of a star!

One of the judges Piers Morgan said,

“Without a doubt that was the biggest surprise I have had in three years on the show. When you stood there with that cheeky grin and said, ‘I wanna be like Elaine Paige’, everyone was laughing at you. No one is laughing now. That was stunning, an incredible performance. Amazing. I’m reeling from shock.”

Another judge Amanda Holden followed,

“I am so thrilled because I know that everybody was against you. I honestly think that we were all being very cynical and I think that’s the biggest wake up call ever. And I just want to say that it was a complete privilege listening to that.”

Susan has gone through a lot in her life. She lives in her childhood home in West Lothian – Scotland, cared for her mother until her mom died in 2006 at the age of 91; her father had already passed away 10 years before.

Unfortunately for her, her struggling journey started from the day she was born. She was starved of oxygen at birth and has a learning disability because of the accident. It didn’t get any better for her when she began going to school. She was looked down by other pupils, laughed at and bullied. Boyle says she was abused and teased by classmates, and the scars of their comments remain to this day!

When she walked across the streets where she lives, she saw some of the guys she went to school with. They have moved on with their lives, they are married, have children and there wasn’t any progression or success with her life.

Some people might even decide to curse God for their miserable lives. But for Boyles, she knew she was talented. She was told by her mom that she was supposed to apply to one of these TV reality shows and was assured by her mom that she would win if she goes up there.

Ms Boyles gathered courage a few years later after her moms passing and we saw her on stage last weekend. She revealed to the world her amazing talent and her world instantly changed! Within 6 days, her video was seen by over 25 million viewers world wide and the figures are increasing!

I want to assure someone today that it’s never too late to become whatever you want to become. It don’t matter what people have said to you, It don’t matter anymore about the abuse you have gone through, or any disability you might have on your part, it doesn’t even matter how old you are. Go for it. There is room for you in this world to be the best at something.

Susan Boyle saw the world laughing at her before her performance, but she wasn’t moved. Don’t be moved by people’s faces or their comments. Believe in your dreams and the natural talents you possess or the skills you have acquired. You too will eventually succeed! Success is for everyone, as long as you are willing to succeed.

Remember: Success Doesn’t Come To You…You Go To It!

It’s time to Take Action and work on your goals. Ms Boyles practised her singing voice at home, at church and she applied to appear on Britain Has Got Talent TV Show. Had she not done saw, she wouldn’t be where she is now. I even heard she is in the process of securing a record deal with a giant recording company. As you can see, it takes Action to achieve your dreams. Action is the foundational key to all success

We established that procrastination is all about putting off your projects for yet another day or putting off doing something for later.

Procrastination is never good because things will never get done and time doesn’t wait for anybody as you might know. We all know that “another day” has got it’s own projects and “later time” has got it’s hands full.

It’s important you never procrastinate but seize each day, moment properly and do things at the right time. There are other events and things that can cause us to never complete our assignments on time and that’s understandable, but if you can help it; it’s time you do the right thing and stop putting them off.

Procrastination Is An Action With Consequences.

Every action has it’s own consequences. If you don’t do something, you will reap the rewards of not doing something. If you do something productive, you will reap the rewards of being productive.

Procrastination will keep you from being all you can be! You have the potential within you to become the best at what you can do. But if procrastination is allowed within your tents, you won’t be able to get to where you should be in life. You will only reap mediocre results and failures. This leads to regrets and frustrations about life.

Procrastination Is Cured By  Being Decisive & “Taking Action”.

If you’re procrastinating on something, its time you sit down and do something about it. Don’t let procrastination ruin your life, relationships, career, business, finances, etc. Don’t allow it! If allowed, it will ruin everything that’s important to you, it will guarantee you unhappiness in the near future and making sure you will be denied of the finest privileges and good things life has to offer.

It’s time You Do The Right Thing!

My desire is to see you living life to the full; happy, peaceful and fulfilled. This can only happen if you become a decisive person, willing to pay whatever price you have to pay to guarantee yourself these privileges of life. Can you do it? Yes you can! Stop worrying about what might happen; whether you will succeed or not. Make it happen!

There is a song that we used to sing; “Step by step we are moving forward, little by little we are gaining ground, and so on” What we’re trying to say in this song is that we are ACTION TAKERS. We never stay at one place, we keep moving until we reach our desired destinations. The journey might be long but we aren’t discouraged – we are ever determined to reach our destinations. We know we can’t do it in one day, but we can do it little by little and do the best we can everyday to cover much ground.

• Can A Child Be Conceived & Born In One Day?

Certainly not! For there is a time for everything under the face of the sun. There is time for sowing and time for reaping. What am I trying to say to you today? I want to tell you that you are a success and have everything within you to succeed in this life. You have the gifts and talents to be successful. If you are not yet successful, it only means you still haven’t experienced the physical manifestation of what you really are – A Successful Individual.

We have billions of people who are still not yet living the life of success they are meant to live. This is because of their ignorance. They are not aware of what they should do to tap into success.

Many people when they hear of the word success, they get overwhelmed, and look for all sorts of reasons to get out of it. If they succeed a bit, they look for all sorts of reason to lose the little success they just acquired. As you might know, “What You Focus On, You Become”. So these individuals end up living a life of lack because of their lack of understanding and nothing else. They create their own reality without even knowing. But I don’t blame people who behave that way because they are not fully aware of who they really are and what they are capable of.

Now I want you to gain wisdom and understanding about success. You can succeed and there is nothing that can stand in your way as long as you believe you can. Nothing can stop you! Why then is it many people fail to succeed? Simple, they fail to complete their assignments!

If you want to succeed, make sure you complete your assignments. You need to act on your goals and make sure they are all met. That will guarantee you success. All your goals can be fulfilled as long as they are split into small daily or hourly tasks. Self discipline plus perseverance will allow you to fulfill your assignment.

Perseverance means you never quit. You keep at it until you complete your work. Be careful not to have excuses to postpone carrying out your daily tasks. That’s procrastination, which usually means you never get started or you never get to finish your assignments. Get rid of any fear of failure and never see failure as failure but a challenge to do things better next time.

No matter what you’re trying to accomplish, whether it’s writing a book or creating a product; the key to your success is being able to break down your tasks into small manageable pieces and make sure you Focus on completing your daily tasks that are in front of you not tasks that are afar off.

Remember, No Nation Can Be Born In One Day.

You can never write a 300 page book in one day, but you can do it within a month by writing a few pages a day. Setting concrete goals on a daily basis is the key to performing at your best. The absence of daily goals will make it extremely difficult to stay focused on the tasks that need to be done in order to ensure your success. You become a yo-yo and end up moving from one task to another without spending the time required to complete your tasks successfully.

Successful people always write their goals down. They first split their goals into small manageable tasks and they then write these goals down and set time limits on them. They always make sure they adhere to these goals and their time limits. They are not comfortable to just write their goals down and never fulfill them. They don’t believe in lying to themselves. They are well aware of the importance of each day and know that tomorrow has its own goals to be met and its troubles.

Successful people never permit today’s goals to be accomplished Tomorrow, but Today!

They know that taking each day, step by step, is the fastest way to succeed. Splitting goals helps them to become effective and they know it doesn’t take a day to build a nation. They’re also aware that in order to successfully complete their daily goals, they must keep the list reasonable. This allows them to avoid the frustration that comes from trying to run around at the last minute to get everything completed. They take it one day at a time, step by step until they accomplish their purpose.

My encouragement today is for you to remember that each day matters, each day serves its own unique purpose and don’t take any day for granted. Utilize each day effectively and make sure you accomplish all your small tasks. You might not call a hundred people a day, but you can contact a few people, you might not write the whole 400 page book within a day, but you can write a few pages. So get focused, split your goals into manageable daily tasks, write them down and TAKE ACTION………. You Will Succeed!

Action is known as the ingredient that ensures results. No Action, No Result. Simple as that! Many people plan and talk about what they want to do, but when it comes to actually doing something, They do nothing! They end up getting depressed and believe they are failures even though they didn’t give themselves enough time to Take Action!

It has be said from ages ago, that “Faith Without Works Saves No Useful Purpose” That’s A Fact! Positive thinking and affirmations are only good if you decide to do something about it. There is no point professing you are going to be successful while sitting down taking no action. You will be contradicting yourself and nothing will happen. Don’t just be a “knower” of things or a talker of things, BECOME A DOER OF THINGS.

It is ACTION that guarantees you success not your thoughts alone. You will not succeed if you skip Action out of your endeavors. Your Works Speaks Louder Than Your Words. People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do for they can see it.

Remember Inaction breeds fear. Action breeds Confidence. If you want to defeat fear, don’t sit at home & think about it. Go out there & get busy!

Here Is My Main Point: IF YOU WANT TO MAKE PROGRESS IN YOUR LIFE; GET YOURSELF STARTED!

From Today begin Taking Action.

1. It’s time to begin writing that book
2. It’s time to get that business started
3. It’s time to launch that product or service
4. It’s time to ask that brilliant person out for a date
5. It’s time to read that book you have been meaning to read
6. It’s time you pick up the phone and talk to that difficult client with confidence
7. It’s time to pick up the phone and talk to the person you have been meaning to talk to

No more procrastinating, No more postponing and rescheduling. It’s Time You Take Some Action.

Take Action and you will surprise yourself of how easy it can be to achieve something despite a few obstacles you might face to achieve your intended result. Don’t Just Plan & Think, Take Action, Take Action, Take Action. Be A Doer!

My elders used to say; “It’s not what you know, it’s what you do with what you know.”
