The Only Difference Between A Success & A Failure Is That The Successful Person Is Willing To Do What The Failure Is Not Willing To Do. – J.R. Ridinger

The question is asked, “Why is it some people are successful than others?” You look at these people, they give more money to charity, they fly around the world week by week, they sleep in expensive hotels, they buy islands, they eat good food, they travel first class, they can afford anything they want in the world, they have lots of money in their bank accounts, money keeps on coming their way in ever increasing quantities than leaving, etc Why is it so?

It’s easier to look at these guys who are successful and say they are lucky. Are successful people really lucky? Well, I can’t answer that for you because luck can be defined in so many ways. I believe if someone increases their chances to succeed and keep on trying and learning from their mistakes, it’s only a matter of time that one day they become lucky.

Successful people are not lucky people if you define luck as chance.

Successful people are Action Takers. They don’t just think, dream, wish and continuously talk about the results they intend to achieve. They make sure they do something about it. (They Take Action)

We have discovered that the majority of people who are successful came from humble backgrounds. We have successful people in America and United Kingdom who came from developing countries where they were brought up in poverty and yet still they became successful. At first, they came with no money, no language skills, no friends, no opportunities, just a few clothes and nothing else. But they soon put themselves together, took advantage of the freedom and opportunities they could see and before you know it, they are paying more tax and enjoying a life of success.

Would you consider these people lucky? Not at all! They worked hard to get rid of poverty. They don’t seem to be people who lived with no goals. They don’t seem to be people who believe in luck. They seem to be people who believe they have power to control their destiny despite their humble backgrounds. They don’t dwell in the past blaming others of what happened back then. They believe in taking life lessons from the past and learn something to change their future in a positive way.

Successful people are not people who come across difficulties and failures and decide to mourn and weep over them. They rise up and learn from their failures and keep on moving forward until they reach the promised land! They are persistent and totally determined to be successful.

One day they became lucky and became successful after hardworking, after toiling, after failing and facing all sorts of challenges along the way. They possess that “never giving up attitude”! That is what makes them different from their unsuccessful counterparts.

Successful & unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potential – John Maxwell
