Greatness Lies Not In Being Strong, But In The Right Use of Strength – Henry Ward

superman 193x300 On The Road To Greatness! There are a few keys one has to lay hold of so as to unlock that door of greatness in their life. I believe that you do have greatness on the inside of you. There is more to you and sometimes it can be daunting to know of your greatness and yet still ignorant of how to unleash it out.

Here Are 5 Keys To Unleash Your Greatness.

Have A Vision

Having a vision means knowing what you are meant to accomplish. A vision is a picture of future greatness. This is where you will be heading and you should know beyond doubt what you are intending to accomplish. Without a vision, you’ll end up doing the things that don’t matter, not knowing where you’re going like a blind leading the blind. You need to believe in that vision, and work hard to achieve it no matter what obstacles you may come across along the way.

Set Goals

Earl Nightingale put it this way, “People with goals succeed because they know where they are going“. It’s as simple as that! Goals are what I call ‘the light in the path’. They guide you towards where you are going. They get rid of confusion as to what to do at an particular time since everything will be clearly defined. Your objective is to accomplish your vision. Hence manageable goals or tasks should be put in place for you to stay focused and on course. Remember what Lao Tzu said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step“.  One task at a time will get you there!

Passion + Determination + Consistence

Og Mandino put it this way, “Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough“. Simple as that! Hebbel put it this way, “Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.” You got to be passionate about your vision. Without passion you lack motivation to see your vision through. Not only are you supposed to be passionate, but you need determination and consistency to acquire greatness in your life. Keep moving forward, be determined to accomplish all your daily goals and be consistence with your endeavors. Never give up, keep pressing forward. When things go wrong, remember there is always a way, as long as you’re committed. Keep at it, don’t loose yourenthusiasm and be diligent at all times.

Continuous Education

Charlie Jones put it this way, “You will be in five years the sum total of the books you read and the people you associate yourself with” Be eager to learn everyday. If you can find a coach or a mentor who can guide you to achieve your results, then go for it. It’s a good call! Another form of education is to read non-fiction books, listen to or watch teaching messages and attending seminars in the field of your endeavor. Make sure you spend time with successful people. You will learn a lot and get motivated to see your vision through.

Maximise Your Time

A millionaire and a broke person have the exact same amount of time every day. The only difference between the two is what they do with that time. If you want to unleash your greatness you will need to leverage and maximize your time using it in the best way possible. Set your priorities right. Outsource other aspects of your tasks if you can and work in the areas of your strengths.

    Hi Jen
Thanks for your comment. Thanks for your appreciation too.

Marianne Williamson is a great lady. I like what you said about God. You can never go wrong with Him. He said in all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.

Thank God you had a chance to return back to Him.

    God bless

    Good Day Simon,

I enjoy reading your blogs and yours quotes !!

I love Charlie Jones's quote :). It is so true. In my most despair, depressed and desperate hours in my life and it seemed no one around me able to offer help at all. I went to my last choice - turned to God and asked why not less than hundred times. Miraculously, I come across a great not face to face "spiritual mentor", Marianne Williamson and my life literally transformed bit by bit from the day onwards and the most exciting part is I return to God whom I have "consciously" chose to abandon for years.

Finally, I realised He is the God of LOVE and not God to FEAR!!!

    Much Cheers,
    Jen

    Hey Brandon

Me too I will say the same thing. I have been blessed to have man and women who mentored me to be who I am. I am always ever so greatful.

It reminds me of Joshua who was mentored by Moses who went on to become a great leader of a nation. I could say more, but you already know :)

Thanks for your comment! God bless
  • Man I love that Charlie Jones quote! I've been blessed to be able to hang around a lot of really great people. I would not be where I am without the mentors in my life. Excellent article!
